Are you ready to be Spellbound?

Welcome to the Spellbound Mystery Community of mystery lovers! Every week we cut through the clutter and curate lists of great reads from Spellbound authors and other favorite writers.

We’re the SPELLBOUNDERS—Duane Lindsay, Lynda McDaniel, Peter Bartram, and Emma Jameson—a group of mystery writers who’ve earned thousands of five-star reviews for our series ranging from humorous PIs and page-turning thrillers to New York Times bestselling British cozies and an Appalachian Mountain series.

And yet, we know how hard it can be to find a really good mystery, especially those without over-the-top violence. If you agree, you’ll be glad to know we’re more into whodunit and howdunit than the dastardly deed itself.

Whether you subscribe for free or upgrade to paid, we hope you’ll join us.

Meet the Spellbounders

We’re here to entertain you!

Duane Lindsay, author of three great series. The Grifter’s Daughter features the adventures of con-artist Dani Silver. If you enjoyed the TV series Hustle, you’ll love it. He’s also penned the hard-boiled Lou Fleener thrillers, set in Chicago. If you’re a Ray Chandler fan, you’ll love Fleener. Duane also writes the Morgans and the Mob series – the latest Where There’s a Will is out soon.

Emma Jameson, New York Times bestselling author of the Lord and Lady Hetheridge mystery series. If you enjoyed the BBC’s Inspector Lynley mysteries, you’ll want to doff your cap to Lord Hetheridge. Book #8, London Blue, is just out. Emma also writes the Dr Benjamin Bones mysteries and the Jem Jago series. Her books feature “strong female leads and men who will keep you up at night”.

Peter Bartram writes the Headline Hero series set in Brighton, England in the “Swinging Sixties” and featuring crime reporter Colin Crampton. So far, Peter has penned 10 full-length novels, a trilogy of novellas, a stand-alone novella, and a book of short stories. With the most recent – The Family Tree Mystery – the Crampton word count topped the 886,647 words in Shakespeare. But then, Peter doesn’t have to write in iambic pentameters with a quill pen… usually!

Lynda McDaniel, who writes the Appalachian Mountain Mysteries, started writing the books to share unforgettable stories from her back-to-the-land experience in the North Carolina mountains. As the series has progressed, Lynda has added both real and fictional stories and characters about all kinds of mountain mischief and mayhem.
Deep South Trouble is her latest.
